Support the RNLI

Founded in 1803, Hoylake is one of the oldest lifeboat stations in the UK. Hoylake RNLI operates the all-weather Shannon class lifeboat ‘Edmund Hawthorn Micklewood’ and the Inshore Rescue Hovercraft ‘Hurley Spirit’.

The lifeboat station and its volunteer crew responds to emergency incidents in Liverpool Bay, the River Mersey and River Dee, and all around the Merseyside coast.

For over two centuries, generations of volunteers have been risking their lives at Hoylake to save hundreds of others at sea.

The RNLI can’t save lives without kind donations, and we need your support now more than ever. When you donate to the RNLI, you give courage to brave volunteers who risk their lives to save others. Your generosity also helps bring people home safe to their families – including the crew.

Will you be a lifesaver with a kind donation today? Every donation – no matter how big or small – can help make a difference.

Doreen Watson

This station and crew members past and present, has been a big part of our family for many years and generations, especially having family and local friends working/ fishing on the sea. In support of the hoylake crew and unit and presently volunteer crew member Rob Watson, previously my dad Norman Watson, also in memory of Grandfather John (Jack) Watson. A lasting wish for my mum to leave a donation as requested as she supported the charity for many years in fundraising events. We lost our mum in August 2024. I hope this donation helps keep the good work going saving local lives everyday and the crew braving all weather's to save others.
