How your support helped the RNLI in 2024

Taking on the Reindeer Run challenge for RNLI lifesavers

RNLI supporters around the country will be donning their antlers and strapping up their hooves to run 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.

Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.

Reindeer Runners will be raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. I’d be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

Wednesday 26th Nov

This December, I’m taking part in the RNLI Reindeer Run, and it’s a cause that means far more than just raising money or hitting a fitness goal.

A few years ago, I was helped by two off-duty RNLI volunteers who stepped in when I really needed it. They acted without fuss or hesitation, and their calm, capable response made all the difference.

The RNLI is full of people like that, volunteers who quietly give their time and skills to help others. Their work relies on public support, and taking part in the Reindeer Run feels like a small way for me to show my appreciation.

So I’m running in honour of those who helped me, and for all the volunteers who drop everything when someone needs them. If you choose to support the fundraiser, thank you. It truly does make a difference.

Thank you to my Sponsors
