Great North Run 2026

I'm running the Great North Run 2026

I’m running the Great North Run 2026 in support of the RNLI. Every penny I raise will help the RNLI save lives at sea. If you are able to sponsor me, thank you so much. Together we can help provide brave RNLI lifesavers with the equipment, kit and training that helps them launch to the rescue.

Time To Donate

Saturday 22nd Aug
In April 2010,  I was privileged to run the London Marathon for the RNLI.  So, it’s been over 16 years now since I asked my network for a donation!  I’m hoping that means I can rely on your support, as I prepare to take on the Great North Run, on September 13th 2026.  Once again, I will be running for my favourite charity, an organisation I have a strong personal connection with, due to my family’s deep links to the fishing industry, in the North East of England/Scotland, notably both Tynemouth/North Shields and Eyemouth, where the RNLI has had a lifeboat station for over 200 & 150 years, respectively.

This is an amazing organisation whose work has sadly been in the news a great deal this year, due the very hot summer we have all enjoyed in the UK.  Typically, they feature on the news when people have not been saved and very sadly don’t make it.  However, they have multiple shouts every day throughout the year, not just in summer and they literally save 1000’s of lives, every single year.

The RNLI rely entirely on fundraising, and their amazing crews give up their time, without payment, to help people in the most serious trouble in the water.

I know it’s a difficult time for most, with the cost-of-living crisis, but if you can spare a couple of quid, please do donate and help me to support this incredible organisation.  Every pound makes a difference!  My heartfelt thanks to you, in advance of your donation!  Both the RNLI and I are really, very, very grateful to you!

Thanks again,

Andy
