I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?

What can I say but thank you for you encouragement and support throughout my challenge and it definitely has been, one that has taken every ounce of my stubbornness to complete.

But something that I would have finished on my hand and knees to remember and honour the amazing man I was blessed to call my daddy.

To raise funds for the brave volunteers who man lifeboats who risk their lives to save lives at Sea.

Miles 24,25 and 26

Sunday 26th May
To be honest these miles, were a mixed bag of busy days meaning I did a lot of walking visiting properties as part of my job. Or getting my head down in the rain and getting through it even when it was last thing I felt like doing.

No one needed to see me soaking wet and looking miserable. Tonight was just a stroll down the road and back home at least it was dry.

Sunday 12th May
A lovely early evening walk in the sunshine up on Berry Head. When every I see a lighthouse I think of my parents who were such a guiding light in my life.

They taught me resilience and determination. Showed me the meaning of love commit and understand in the face of difficulties.

I have needed to call on all these skills during the days in this challenge.

Another late mile. 9

Thursday 9th May
Sometimes we are trying too hard to be everything to everyone. That we forget your own needs. Mentally our mind are so busy we struggle to disconnect from the system and check in one ones self. This walk is giving me that space, so as much as the legs would disagree my mind is feeling the benefit.
