I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

I have been given the amazing opportunity to work with the RNLI  ⚓️this summer up in Scarborough. Spending time at the beach with my friends and family has always been some of my happiest times and fondest memories.

To help the RNLI crew save lives at sea by raising awareness. I will be taking part in the May Day challenge.

The May Day challenge Involves running 1 Mile a day. But, after feeling overwhelmed with completing my final University year. I felt it was really important for me to stay active still and challenge myself. So, I have decided to challenge myself even more and DO 100 MILES OVER MAY!!! .

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving any donation however small, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?

My Updates

25 more more mikes to go.

Thursday 30th May
The May Day challenge for the RNLI involves running 1 Mile a day. But after being really overwhelmed in my final university year I really wanted to challenge myself. To prove to myself I could still achieve anything still. So I decided to to take on running 100 miles over May. I could barley even run 1 Mile at the start without feeling absolutely dead. So I am so proud I’ve stayed committed and managed 75 only 25 miles more to go.

Mr. Moooo cow.

Monday 27th May
Love seeing these cows when running. Makes me smile so much. And they look just like Ella Devine and frey frey.

23rd run

Monday 27th May
To my biggest support that says well done on strava for every good or bad run. I love and miss u 💜

20th RNLI run.

Monday 27th May
The more stressed I am over my dissertation the longer I seem to be able to run for.….. running has really helped me to distress and make me feel like my happy self again by just making me get out everyday. Rather than the usuals hours and hours I’m spending at library at the moment .

18th run

Saturday 18th May
Completed today with no falls this time, just a very hot run in the sun instead

A fail of a run

Saturday 18th May
Today I was gonna run down into town to see mum and dad who are visiting. Instead when I was going down a ramp I fell and absolutely face planted the floor. Not a good day….. but I will continue running tomorrow still. Maybe just not down that ramp this time.

Saturday- Park Run day.

Tuesday 14th May
Saturday park run day, inspired by the one and only Frey Frey who made us do our first one with her when she was in England. Hopefully we can run together in AUssie land soon 🦘

After pub run

Tuesday 14th May
Only managed a mile today, after getting back from the pub and completing the run then. Clearly the pint made me quicker though!!!

Running + Bird watching.

Thursday 9th May
9th Run for the RNLI May Day Mile: Convinced my sister to join me today and we ran around together just chatting away in the sun. Alice also kept stopping us so she could bird watch and figure out which bird she could hear.

5th Run

Monday 6th May
A very very hungover run this morning with me and Tegan after too much dancing and singing the night before. Miracle we got ourselves out of our pjs for it.

4th RNLI

Monday 6th May
Went for a run today and decided on the run to go stalk Alice and Cosmo and go crash their date together.

3rd Run!

Saturday 4th May
I have felt awful today really overwhelmed and stressed over Uni. So decided to go for a late night and long run. Which immediately helped me feel so much better about myself. I have decided to take on completing 100 Miles during May instead of a mile a day. This will really test me a lot more and my commitment to running. Wish me luck 🤞.

FIRST MILE COMPLETE.

Wednesday 1st May
This was my first day as part of my 31 day challenge to run a mile every single day!! I have never liked running and I had a stitch the whole way round. So it can only go up from here hopefully!
