Calling for All Hands on Deck to help save lives
To commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the RNLI, BSC are hosting a one-off event on Sat 5th October. The theme for the day will (appropriately) be Safety on The Water.
It is being run alongside the final Ladies that Launch day of the year, so "fun sailing" will also be available, and encouraged!
The goal for the day is to allow people to practice some capsize and man overboard drills in a fun, controlled environment. The hope is that this will give those new to sailing more confidence to enjoy the sport, as well as help prepare them for more formal training. A collection tin will be available on the day for those who want to make donations.
Please come and give your support in any way you can.
In 2024, the RNLI is commemorating 200 years of lifesaving service. We’re joining in with the celebrations and helping them continue to save lives by raising vital funds.
RNLI volunteers drop everything to answer desperate calls for help, launching to the rescue at any time, day or night. Together, we’re raising money to help give them the training and kit they need to continue saving lives.
We’re calling for All Hands on Deck. Will you join us?
