10k in the suit done, feet surprisingly alright. Just need to work on fuelling.

Training continues

Sunday 2nd Aug
Decided this morning to have a run through South Shields and familiarise myself with John Reed road, which is the long hill to the finish line. Did it with Stuart, one of our launch authorities who's also running the GNR for the Newcastle United foundation! 19.75km done at a steady pace. Was a good trip!

Quick 6k around the park. Not done this part of Darlington before!

2nd parkrun down!

Saturday 13th Jun
Second park run down! Intervals to ensure I can run a half marathon in a dry suit! Good to she Stuart and Tom joining me!

First parkrun done!

Saturday 30th May
Did my first ever parkrun today... Choose to do it in RNLI kit! Warm one but with a time of 37 mins not doing too badly! Just another 3 of them to go 😂

Friday 1st May
Suppose now I've typed this out, it makes it official. After being inspired by the London Marathon and Dan from Walmer running it in full kit, I thought I'd give it a go! So for the 2026, Great North Run I'll be running the course in full RNLI kit. Wish me luck!

North Tyneside 10k done

Sunday 5th Apr
North Tyneside 10k completed with 4 other crew members. Andy, Poppy, Stuart and Adrian! Time of 51:53 for the race. My fastest ever 10k!
