I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

The RNLI has a special place in my heart. My younger brother Andrew, is a Volunteer Helm at the DunLaoghaire Lifeboat Station. I have seen first hand the dedication that it takes to be a on the RNLI crew. Andrew's bleeper can go off at any time, any day, 365 days of the year. Once it goes off, no matter what he is doing - he is sprinting out the door and down to the Lifeboat. You may have seen Andrew on the RTE news, or heard him on the radio after the amazing rescue the team carried out on Saturday 6th April during Storm Kathleen for that little girl who's life was saved.

All of these people who put their lives at risk every single day are VOLUNTEERS. They do not get paid for this job. It is a thankless task.

This is why I am going to run a mile every day in May to fundraise for the RNLI. They deserve every single penny that they get. Remember - it could be you who needs to be saved and you would be so thankful that it is such a competent, amazing team saving your life!

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?
