I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?

My Updates

Day 17

Friday 17th May
Ok we have an injury :( I have trapped a nerve in my back which is PAINFUL I am going to take myself for a small walk later to get in at least a mile as I am not letting anyone down but also mindful I need to look after my back (we only get one after all) - thanks for all your amazing support

Day 15

Friday 17th May
Today I had a circuits session as well as running around all over the place - so I got my miles in but utilising Circuits and steps - feeling brilliant - onwards and upwards

Day 14

Friday 17th May
Well today I had a PT session so I utilised the treadmill for today's miles as my "warm up" - overall great session and got my miles in

Day 13

Tuesday 14th May
Today was a nicer walk with a lovely neighbour of mine - despite the heavens opening and getting a bit wet we managed a few miles - so come rain or shine everyone can get out and about.

Day 12

Tuesday 14th May
It was HOT run today haha with the lovely Kate - we went for miles even got our legs out for the occasion haha - Thank you to everyone as well who has sponsored me it is amazing.

Day 11

Tuesday 14th May
Run with my lovely neighbour - weather was hot hot hot BUT we got out and another 3 miles haha - enjoying every bit of this sponsored challenge.

Day 10

Tuesday 14th May
Got out and about with the kids, enjoyed wondering locally :) if nothing else a mile a day is easy when you are in good company.

Day 9

Tuesday 14th May
Today was a lone run through the woods and it felt amazing! Met a lovely deer who followed me for a while and then we parted ways managed to get in 3 miles.

Day 8

Thursday 9th May
Well I went out again despite still not feeling great, had a good laugh, made the run fun and plated adult "tag" haha which made my timings quite good haha - Thanks to all my supporters

Day 7

Thursday 9th May
Not a great day today, feeling like I have a big black cloud hanging over me BUT I took myself out went for a run and shook some sense in to myself :)

Day 6

Tuesday 7th May
Today we were at Castle Coombe racing so what a better chance to get a mile or two than to "run" the track haha I did the outskirts of the track and it was not an easy run, nothing was majorly flat, it was wet and boggy haha but despite the wet feet I did it and had fun doing it.

Day 5

Tuesday 7th May
Only a small walk today 1.7 as I wasn't feeling 100% but every little helps :)

Day 4

Saturday 4th May
Cheeky near on 6k tonight! If nothing else I am determined to keep pushing myself, regardless of who or what for. We can always give ourselves personal goals and aim for them 😀

Day 3

Saturday 4th May
Well I was meant to run with the lovely Kate but plans changed so..... I went on my own 😀  I did 2 miles on my own which was tough as I had to make sure I pushed myself on as no one else was gunna do it. I did it and I felt good.

Day 2

Friday 3rd May
Day 2 and me and my lovely neighbour took to the road and managed just shy of 3 miles ... onwards n upwards 😀

Day 1

Wednesday 1st May
So today is the day we start the challenege. I have a circuit session booked for tonight but won't be using this for my minimum mile, instead I will go for an actual walk/run and make it count!! Wish me luck 😀

Accountability

Monday 29th Apr
01st May is not far away and if I can be accountable for such a small action to raise vital funds to a worthy charity then I will 100% give it my all x
