I am honoured to be part of the crew at Cullercoats RNLI. Being part of the RNLI has given me first hand experience of the commitment, dedication and personal sacrifices made by volunteers who are ready to respond when people need help most.
I’m running the Great North Run 2026 in support of all my fellow crew. Every penny I raise will help the RNLI save lives at sea. If you are able to sponsor me, thank you so much. My first fundraising event for the RNLI is officially complete!
The evening started with some truly horrendous weather. As we gathered on the start line, the rain was absolutely torrential, leaving everyone soaked before the race had even begun. Thankfully, perseverance paid off and the weather gradually improved, with bright sunshine greeting us at the finish line.
Crossing the finish line made all the hard work and wet miles worthwhile, and the well-earned can of beer afterwards tasted even better!
