Day 22

Sunday 22nd Dec
A short muddy walk on Baildon Moor in all weathers today with snow, rain, gusting winds and sunshine. Leeds and Bradford in the distance.
Ronnie the Reindeer preferred to shelter in the heather rather than getting blown off his feet!

Day 21

Saturday 21st Dec
Blustery winds and rain throughout the day didn't encourage a long walk so went round Guiseley in the morning and Otley Wharfebank in the afternoon.
Christmas carols and swans aswimming featured on today's walk.

Day 20

Friday 20th Dec
A muddy walk from Otley to Guiseley over the Chevin with a visit to the White House, a 223 step stairway, 240 stone pillars, low flying aircraft and some friendly sheep.

Blue skies but a chilling wind took us to Bradford today for a walk from the university to the city centre with photos of the old and new architecture.

Day 18

Saturday 14th Dec
Local walk today looking across the fields towards Menston and Ilkley.

Day 12

Thursday 12th Dec
Today we stopped off at Lissett to see the airmen and then went on to Fraisthorpe Beach for a walk into Bridlington.
The weather was amazing switching from mist and cloud to some glimpses of sunshine and back and forth again in minutes.
We ended the walk at the Cow Shed for a hot mug of soup and sandwich.

Day 11

Wednesday 11th Dec
A full day in Bridlington walking around the town with a chance to meet some of the RNLI crew at the lifeboat station.
We were then lucky enough to see their boat being brought back in from the harbour, landed on the beach and transported back to the station.

Day 10

Tuesday 10th Dec
A walk round Filey, Flamborough Head and Flamborough South Landing with visits to the RNLI stations.

Day 9

Monday 9th Dec
A short walk around Gallows Hill Nature Reserve in Otley today and a surprise encounter with polar bears.

Day 8

Sunday 8th Dec
Brilliant news that sponsorship has now gone over £200 just as we pass the 24 mile stage.
Today we've attempted train spotting but the windy weather has probably affected the timetable.

Day 7

Saturday 7th Dec
High winds today so restricted my walk to the river in Otley.

Day 6

Friday 6th Dec
A trip to Harewood House with a walk round the lake and house with the spectacular Mischief at the Mansion exhibition.
