I’m taking on the Reindeer Run Challenge for RNLI lifesavers

This December, I’m donning my antlers and strapping up my hooves to run 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.

Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.

I’m raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. I’d be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

My Updates

Run 6!

Wednesday 20th Dec
3.36 miles today with Dad! I definitely beat him! Only 5 miles left of the challenge to go!!!!

Run 5!

Friday 15th Dec
3.45 miles today! Probably my best run yet! After completing this challenge of course, my second biggest motivation for running at the moment is to absolutely thrash my Dad when we next go out on a run together! ‘The only person you have to beat is yourself- and your dad’- Polly xoxo

Run 4!

Wednesday 13th Dec
Another 2.8 miles today! I planned to do my 3 mile route but had to turn back because it was flooded! It was very rainy and I got very soggy but definitely happy to have done it and be back in the warm!

Run 3

Friday 8th Dec
Felt so exhausted today but am so busy at the moment I need to squeeze in runs whenever I get a chance! I did my 3 mile route today which went quite well but I did take it super slow.

Run 2! 06/12/23

Wednesday 6th Dec
Dad joined me for my second run of December and we did our two mile route today! I still had energy at the end so went round the block for another mile after dropping dad back at home!

First Run of December! 01/12

Friday 1st Dec
Started off December with a 2.65 mile run! My first run in a couple of months so a bit slow and I did have to walk up one of the hills! 2 degrees today and flurries of snow earlier but I didn’t feel too cold! I ran to my nearest Costa where I met Dad for a Christmas drink! I was going to get a hot chocolate but was a bit hot when I got there so I got a gingerbread iced latte instead. Dad got a sticky toffee latte! Looking forward to the next run! Xx
