I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?

My Updates

Thank you

Sunday 16th Jun
Thank you everyone who kindly donated and thank you so much to Blyth RNLI for taking the time to show me around. It was the best day EVER!

I did it!

Friday 31st May
62.5 miles completed! Not bad for a nearly 8 year old, who was poorly for some of it. Thank you to everyone who sponsored me, I really appreciate it.

Opps

Tuesday 28th May
My mammy has only just realised that the page still says her name even thought she though she had changed it to mine. It says Sebastian on our dashboard bit. Opps. 4 miles completed today! Only 8 more to go. Thank you for all the support.

50 miles completed!

Monday 27th May
Only another 12 to go 😁

31 miles completed!!!

Saturday 18th May
I knew I would beat my original target so I'm now half way to my new target of 62 miles. Not bad for little legs.

Decided to double my distance

Wednesday 15th May
I had completed 23 miles in 14 days and my target was 31 miles for the whole month. So to make it more of a challenge I've double my target miles! 62 to complete now 😁

Fever

Wednesday 15th May
I managed a mile on Sunday at Cambois beach with a break because I wasn't feeling right but by lunch time I had a horrible fever and spent the rest of the day in bed.

No miles on Monday because I was too poorly to even go to school but I did manage a mile on Tuesday broken into bits when I felt better. Will do my usual mile after Beavers this evening as I'm a lot better....just got an annoying cough.

Half way in 8 days

Thursday 9th May
I'm half way through my target miles! I really didn't want to last night after a busy day of school then beavers but I did my mile!

Exploring the Northumberland border

Monday 6th May
Lots of walking this weekend. Duddo stones, Routin Linn, Ford and Etal castle, the Flodden Field Battle Trail and exploring Coldstream.

Day 2 - completed

Friday 3rd May
I did lots walking around school but I did my mayday mile to the polling station.

My first mile

Wednesday 1st May
I finished my first mile walk after Beavers tonight 😁
