I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Friday 31st May
And there it is my final Mayday Mile🏃‍♀️ I so proud of myself and want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me 🥰 celebrating with cheesecake! There's still time to donate it you can, thanks

Last but one, was hot and a warm up for Menopause Fit at 7pm 🏃‍♀️🥵🏋‍♀️ Only tomorrow to do fitting around work 😪 still time to donate if you can, thanks 😊

Wednesday 29th May
Mayday Mile 29 and another fastest time 🏃‍♀️ only 2 more to go. I'm now up to £260 which is incredible and way more than I was expecting 😍 if you'd still like to donate if you can it will be appreciated.

I did a Hitt Class then went out on my Mayday Mile run in the rain ☔️🌬🌧🏃‍♀️ Amazing news I've reached £250 thank you so much for my latest donations Jo Caroline Faye and Sharon I'm so pleased and really appreciate it 😍 I have 3 more to go so there's still time to donate if you can.

Monday 27th May
After a pretty rubbish Bank Holiday Monday with poorly Anakin and no revision retained in my brain 😌 I went out and did my fastest mile 🏃‍♀️ Please donate if you can, I'm nearly at the end of the challenge 😍

I was up and out at 8am this morning jogging...I mean who is this person 🤣 anyway still hate it and it's still a massive challenge so if you can please donate, the RNLI are incredible 😍 Thanks 😊

Saturday 25th May
Another jog despite Tailwalking Parkrun this morning. I was absolutely shattered, but still did it. I've technically reached my target of 31 miles due to my Fitbit being linked and the fundraising page adding up all the points of a mile after my miles. I set out to do a mile every day in May and that's what I'm going to do, as agreed I will be running the last ones too. So if you can please donate.

Friday 24th May
Another jog and knocked 10 seconds off my PR from yesterday 😁😮 and it was hot 🥵🥵 even Anakin is impressed 🤣 This is real challenge especially as the canal was full of people 😱😱😱 and I don't like running!!

To up the challenge I decided I'm going to try and jog the rest of the miles (I quit Couch to 5k on week 4, so running not my thing!!)

We went to Waterfall Country so did my mile and treated myself to a wild swim at the end 😊

I'd been Tailwalker at Parkrun this morning, but still went out for my mile for RNLI this afternoon 😍

A busy day in work, tired but get my mile done on a lovely spring evening 😊

Mayday Mile for RNLI Mile 16 If I've ever deserved a donation it's today, decided to do my walk before my exercise class, but it poured down and I didn't realise the field is like a bog!! I had to wring out my socks before my class!!

Pretty much half way through the challenge, didn't get out till late, but lovely evening for a walk 🌞

Came in from Art Class and before dinner so I was hungry, but got out to do my mile 😊 definitely better weather 🌞

We had a sad morning losing 3 of our gerbils and there was yellow warning for rain, as the rain didn't let up I went out and did my mile getting very wet feet 🤔

After a busy weekend at Football Tour, I was really tired, but still did my mile. Had a lovely walk in the bluebell woods 😊
