I'm running the Great North Run 2026
I’m running the Great North Run 2026 in support of the RNLI. This will be the furthest I’ve ever attempted to run.
As a coastal gal, the RNLI is a charity incredibly close to my heart. Watching the volunteer crews spring into action for call outs at all hours, and in all weathers, is a constant reminder of their incredible bravery and crucial role in our local community.
So, when I got a call asking me if I’d run the Great North Run to fundraise for them, the only answer I could give was yes!
Signing up with only 9 weeks to go, when most first timer training plans are 12 to 16 weeks, means this will not be fast or pretty, but every penny I raise will help the RNLI save lives at sea.
