I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

This felt like my strongest run, one of the only times I wasn’t completely gassing out and I felt like I could keep going! Only 17 miles to go!

Really bad leg pull on this one! Only 18 miles to go!

And here’s todays update! Tough one after a night of drinking! Only 19 miles to go!

Sorry this is a tad late. Busy weekend but I still got it done! Took it much steadier for this one but still got it done! 20 miles to go!

Saturday 11th May
Only went and beat another pb! Four or five days on the trot! Only 21 miles to go!

Day 9!

Thursday 9th May
I can’t actually believe I’m saying this but I’ve beaten my pb yet again, really starting to enjoy running. Only 22 miles to go!

Day 8!

Wednesday 8th May
Another day another pb! I can’t believe how much I’ve improved in just a week! Am I starting to get into running?? It was tough though and now I know why! Only 23 miles to go!

Day 7!

Tuesday 7th May
1 week down! And another pb set! Only 24 miles to go!

Day 6!

Monday 6th May
Completed this after already doing a hike today, needles to say it was tough! 25 miles to go!

Day 5!

Sunday 5th May
Only gone and set my fastest time for a mile! Woo woo! 26 miles to go!

Day 4!

Saturday 4th May
Note to self, avoid kebab the day before run! 🙃 that felt awful! 27 miles to go!

Slightly different route this time around. Took longer this time before I started flagging! 28 miles to go!

Day 2!

Today seemed a little better than yesterday! I didn’t gas out as much which I am more than happy with! Only 29 miles to go!😅

Wednesday 1st May First mile down! Nearly killed me off and I didn’t realise how unfit I actually am! But many more to go! Thank you to anyone who’s sponsored so far! absolutely smashed my fundraising goal already!

Thank you for checking out my fundraising page! As of May 1st I will be challenging myself to run a mile a day for the rest of the month. The only other challenge I have done similar to this is tough mudder (when I was much fitter than I am now.) So I’m sure this will be much tougher than I am probably willing to admit.
