GIVEAWAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“TERMS AND CONDITIONS”)
1. General
1.1 These Terms and Conditions are applicable to anyone entering the online RNLI Free Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) promoted, administered and run by us, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), a charity registered in England and Wales (209603), Scotland (SC037736), the Republic of Ireland (CHY 2678 and 20003326), the Bailiwick of Jersey (14), the Isle of Man (1308 and 006329F), the Bailiwick of Guernsey and Alderney, of West Quay Road, Poole, Dorset, BH15 1HZ (the ”Charity” and “us”).
1.2 By entering the Giveaway you (“You”, the “Entrant”) expressly accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them. If You do not want to accept the Terms and Conditions, You should not enter the Giveaway.
1.3 The Charity reserves the right to refuse the Giveaway to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
1.4 The decision of the Charity regarding any aspect of the Giveaway is final and binding and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into about it.
2. Giveaway
2.1 The Giveaway is promoted and run by the Charity.
2.2 To enter the Giveaway, you must be an “Eligible Entrant” as per clause 3 below and to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
2.3 The Giveaway is free to enter. There is no obligation to make a donation to be eligible for entry.
3. Eligible Entrants
3.1 You must be a resident of either: UK, Ireland, Isle of Man or Channel Islands;
3.2 All entrants must be 18 years old or over;
3.3 In entering the Giveaway, You confirm that You are eligible to lawfully enter the Giveaway. The Charity may require You to provide proof that You are eligible to enter the Giveaway ;
3.4 You must successfully register for The Cuppa for the Crew event here https://fundraise.rnli.org/fundraise/cuppa-for-the-crew
3.5 Employees and volunteers of the Charity directly involved in running the Giveaway cannot enter into the Giveaway.
4. Giveaway
4.1 The first 500 Eligible Entrants as defined in clause 3 above, and subject to these Terms and Conditions, will receive the “Giveaway” defined as follows:
4.1.1. A Cuppa for the Crew tea towel
4.2 The Giveaway is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
4.3 Descriptions of the Giveaway and the Giveaway itself are provided without a warranty of the condition, quality, suitability or any other kind. In no event shall the Charity (including its employees, affiliates and volunteers) be liable for any claim, demand or damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use by the Entrant of the site or the Giveaway.
4.4 The Charity reserves the right to substitute the Giveaway with an alternative and equivalent prize in its sole discretion.
5. How to enter
5.1 To enter this Giveaway, entrants must: successfully register for The RNLI Cuppa for the Crew by completing the The Cuppa for the Crew registration form: https://fundraise.rnli.org/fundraise/cuppa-for-the-crew (“Form”);
5.2 Please note that this is the only method by which to enter the Giveaway. Entries submitted in any other way will not be accepted.
5.3 The entries must be submitted from 09:00 (BST) on the Opening Date ( being 1 September 2026) until midnight (BST) on the Closing Date (being 12 October 2026), and is limited to 500 giveaways, available while stocks last. All Giveaway entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
5.4 Only one entry per person can be submitted.
5.5 Entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions or which exceed the maximum number of entries will be void and will not be entered into the Giveaway.
6. How the winner is determined
6.1 Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the first 500 correct entries by the Eligible Entrants will receive the Prize.
7. Personal data
7.1 The Charity will process your personal data specifically for the purpose of administering the Giveaway , processing entries, liaising with the Prize Giver, and to contact you at the close of the Giveaway if you have won, to give full details of your prize, how to arrange or obtain the prize and contacting you in line with the fair processing notice provided at the time of data being provided. 7.2 Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion may be passed on to third-party suppliers for the purposes of fulfilment/ delivery/ arrangement of the prize if necessary.
8. Contacting the recipients
8.1 If you are one of the first 500 eligible entrants, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of registering. Your reward will be dispatched to the postal address provided in the Form.
8.2 Giveaways are sent on a rolling weekly basis and we will aim to deliver yours within 21 days from the date of our email confirmation. While we aim to deliver all Prizes within this timeframe, delivery may occasionally take longer due to circumstances outside of our control. In such cases, we appreciate your patience and understanding.
9. Eligibility checks
9.1 The Charity reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Charity may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a Giveaway may be withheld unless and until the Charity is satisfied with the verification.
10. Entrant only
10.1 All entries must be made by the entrant themselves and not on behalf of anyone else. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries, entries by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter), and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that an entrant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using see identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that entrant’s entries into the Giveaway in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the Giveaway that entrant’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
11. Lost or Damaged entries
11.1 No responsibility is accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed or as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
12. Complaints
12.1 All disputes or complaints relating to the Giveaway should be referred to the Charity at engagementpromotions@rnli.org.uk. Please include the details of the Giveaway, the Charity and the nature of your complaint and we will respond to Your complaint within 14 days of receipt. If your query or complaint relates to a data protection issue, then please email our Data Protection team at data_protection@rnli.org.uk.
13. Limitation of Liability
13.1 Insofar as permitted by law the Charity or its agents will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or an entrant or accept any liability for any loss, damage or personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize or taking part in the Giveaway except where it is caused by the gross negligence of the Charity or their agents, distributors or employees.
13.2 The Charity acting reasonably reserves the right to void, suspend, cancel or amend the Giveaway and these Terms and Conditions where it becomes necessary to do so.
13.3 In no event shall the Charity (including their employees, affiliates and volunteers) be liable for any claim, demand or damages arising out of or in any way connected with the Entrant’s use of the site, the Giveaway or their receipt and use or enjoyment of the Prize.
13.4 The Charity will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit.
14. Variation of Terms
14.1 The Charity may vary these Terms and Conditions.
15. Third Party Rights
15.1 No person who is not a party to an Agreement shall have any right pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of such Agreement.
16. Applicable Law
16.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law, and the Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
17. Refunds Policy
17.1 The Charity does not provide refunds of the donations. Monies are raised for the Charity and go towards the Charity’s purpose. However, where there is a valid complaint and the Charity deems that a refund or part refund is appropriate the Charity will liaise directly with the Entrant. All complaints must be referred to the Charity at engagementpromotions@rnli.org.uk in the first instance.
