You’ve decided it’s time to put that hidden talent to good use. Maybe you want to show the world what you’re made of. Or you’re just looking for an excuse to let off some steam. Whatever ingenious idea you have for raising funds, get started by registering your event and getting your own fundraising page. We’ll support you every step of the way with all the tips and resources you need.

What happens after I register for my event?

A member of our team will review your activity. We may ask you some additional questions or we may approve it without requiring any additional information. Either way, you will hear from us within 48 hrs of submitting your DIY fundraising event registration form. Please allow a little extra time for weekends and bank holidays. When your page is approved, you’ll receive an email letting you know it’s ready to start sharing and exploring.

Are there any rules I must follow when fundraising in aid of for the RNLI?

When you register your fundraising activity with us we ask that you review and accept our Fundraising In Aid of T&Cs before you proceed. In order to keep your fundraising safe and legal we have produced some guidelines which can be found at RNLI.org/SafeAndLegalFundraising. If in doubt, we’re happy to give you all the support and advice you need – just contact the RNLI Fundraising In Aid Of Team on at fundraising@rnli.org.uk or 0300 300 9908 (UK) or 01 511 9834 (Ireland) or +441202 663234 (any other country)

What fundraising materials will I receive?

When you register your activity with us you will have access to your own fundraising page with a dashboard where you can access print at home materials like bunting, posters, donation pot labels and a fundraising guide to help you get the most out of your fundraising activity.

What media support will I receive from the RNLI?

Our media teams work is always focussed on saving lives and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to provide you with any media coverage for your activity.  You should not be reliant on this support for your challenge.

How do I collect money for my event?

Once you sign up, your fundraising page will be automatically created, and all donations collected on your page will come directly to the RNLI. You can add your own profile picture and tell us why you’re fundraising for us. You can then share your page with friends and family so they can donate to support you and the RNLI’s volunteer lifesavers.
