If you have a question that isn’t covered below, you can contact us at fundraising@rnli.org.uk.
How far ahead of my event should I register?
We recommend registering your event as soon as you know what you would like to do. This will enable you to access the support materials and start to raise funds on your unique fundraising page. We require a minimum of 48hrs (excluding bank holidays and weekends) to approve registrations, so please build this into your plans.
What happens after I register for my event?
A member of our team will review your activity. We may ask you some additional questions or we may approve it without requiring any additional information. Either way, you will hear from us within 48 hrs of submitting your DIY fundraising event registration form. Please allow a little extra time for weekends and bank holidays. When your page is approved, you’ll receive an email letting you know it’s ready to start sharing and exploring.
What will the money raised be spent on?
Donations kindly collected through DIY fundraising by supporters will go into general funds to be used where they are needed most by any part of the organisation. We are not able to restrict funds to any specific station or region. To learn more about where fundraising money is used by our organisation please visit How The RNLI Uses Your Money To Save Lives.
