Mayday Mile Complete!
We’ve smashed this year’s Mayday Mile distance. We’ve walked 64 miles. We’ve walked in the streets, in parks, in beautiful gardens and around the coast. Thank you for your donations and there’s still time to sponsor us if you would like to.The official start!
Tonight we have started the official Mayday Mile as it’s the first of May. We had already logged 22 miles so we will make sure we walk an additional 30 miles this months so will have walked at least 52 miles by the end of May. Tonight we walked 2 miles once it was getting dark and cooler. We got back just in time because it’s raining now and Stanley doesn’t like the wet stuff! Team Stanley’s Stories have already walk 17 miles before the Mayday Mile officially starts in May. We will make sure that how much we’ve walked by the end of April that we do at least another 30 miles during the month of May.We're taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers
This May, we're completing a mile a day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.
During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble by the water.
