I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers
Alright folks, listen up! Your friendly neighbourhood HM Coastguard worker (that's me!) is about to make a spectacle of myself for a fantastic cause: the RNLI. These legends are a vital asset we use daily – basically, they're the superheroes of the sea, and we couldn't save as many soggy folks without them!
This May, I'm tackling the Mayday Mile Challenge. Now, while some people might just walk a mile, I figured I'd spice things up a bit. You'll find me attempting to stay upright on a paddleboard (wish me luck!), wobbling my way around on my bike (helmet firmly secured, naturally!), and, yes, occasionally putting one foot in front of the other. Prepare for potential splashdowns and questionable cycling skills!
Summer means more sunshine, more ice cream, and unfortunately, more people getting into a bit of a pickle in the water. That's where the amazing RNLI volunteers jump into action.
By sponsoring my slightly ridiculous, multi-terrain mile challenge, you'll be helping equip these brave souls for their busiest season. Think of it as contributing to the 'Get the Lifeguard There Faster (and Maybe Laugh a Little)' fund.
So, dig deep, chuck us a few quid, and help me support the RNLI heroes we rely on every single day. Plus, you'll get the added bonus of knowing you contributed to the potential viral content of me falling off a paddleboard. What's not to love?
Proud of you 👏🏻
