Furnace RNLI Fundraiser

Ailsa's Cuppa for the Crew

Donate to Ailsa and help them hit their goal!

I’m hosting a Cuppa for the Crew to support RNLI lifesavers.

Having recently been on a shout in Loch Fyne and passing Furnace several times with our searches, I thought it would be good to hold a fundraising coffee afternoon in the village for the RNLI. So we will be putting on the kettle (or hopefully the urn?) and hosting a Cuppa for the Crew, helping to save lives at sea by gathering friends together for a cuppa (and maybe some cake too)

RNLI volunteers drop everything the moment the pager goes off. So spending an afternoon to help raise some money for the costs of going to sea so as we can always be  ready to head out for a rescue.

Will you join me for a Cuppa for the Crew, to help the important work of the RNLI?

My Updates

Our coasts stretch far in Argyll…

Friday 25th Sep
After 25 years as part of the crew an incident this summer is the first time I can remember being as far north in loch Fyne. Being in the loch and looking ashore to Furnace was a reminder that the work of the RNLI stretches across our coastal area. A crew from Tighnabruach were first on scene as the closest station  but a crew Fri Largs was also mustered.
So thought it would be good to have a wee fundraising coffee afternoon to help raise funds for the RNLI which is entirely reliant on volunteer donations.
