I’m fundraising for the RNLI to help power brave lifesavers to the rescue
The RNLI launches into storms, rescues people in impossible conditions and never hesitates when someone needs help. Meanwhile, we will be launching ourselves around London's parks with a degree of trepidation and battling chafing to support the RNLI's great work.
We are running the Royal Parks Half for the RNLI because they save lives without checking anyone's postcode, passport or political opinions. The RNLI steps up for anyone who needs help. If they can handle dangerous seas, we are sure we can handle the mild discomfort of running through London's prettiest parks.
Every day, around the coasts of the UK and Ireland, RNLI volunteers are kitting up to answer desperate calls for help. But they can’t launch to the rescue without support. The RNLI relies on donations to fund the kit and training volunteers need to save lives at sea and return safely home. We are fundraising to help them stay ready to rescue.
