I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?

RNLI - Who are they and what do they do?🚤

Sunday 21st Apr
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the RNLI is ready to save lives. Powered by courage, determination and the support of generous people like you.
Our volunteer lifeboat crews are ready to launch 24/7. With 238 lifeboat stations around the coasts of the UK and Ireland, the RNLI has created a ring of safety to help protect and save those in peril at sea.

Crew members come from all walks of life, with only 1 in 10 having previous maritime experience. But they all share one thing in common - a selfless, dedicated commitment to saving lives at sea. And, thanks to your support, the RNLI can provide them with the training, equipment and craft they need to be lifesavers

Our volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour rescue service in the UK and Ireland and our seasonal lifeguards patrol busy beaches. RNLI crews and lifeguards have saved over 144,000 lives since 1824.

They share safety advice, provide first aid to those who need it, and save the lives of those who get in trouble in the water.

As a charity, we rely on the kindness and generosity of people like you to power our lifesaving. And right now, we need your support more than ever.

It's our belief that even one life lost at sea is too many. Our brave volunteers don't launch into cold, rough seas to save just a few. They're on a mission to save every one.

When our crews are racing from rescue to rescue, they rely even more on their lifesaving kit and world-class training – the things that kind people like you help provide.
