I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Well over the month I mainly logged morning dog walks and a bit more walking fo a couple of weekends we or I was away.

In total loged 65 miles - but in reality walked much more!

Day 17 done...

Saturday 17th May
Day 17 and hit the 31 mile target... But I'll keep going till the end of the month :)

Day 14 done...

Wednesday 14th May
After a long walk at the weekend (9.6 miles) I had a poorly dog so have missed a couple of days. However Day 14 and done just under 29 miles. I'll keep going tho!

Friday 9th May
Day 9... 16 of 31 miles walked.

Day 8 done...

Friday 9th May
Day 8 done... 13 of 31 miles walked (tho walked much more). So going well 🙂

Morning walk done... I'm prob walking much more than the mile a day, but making a point of doing an early morning 1 mile :)

1st morning walk done! 1.6 miles... Nice sunny morning walk between the 2 Villages.

Doing it with my 2 small dogs (Basil and Gonzo), they did add a bit of time for all their stops!
