I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

Walking the Mayday Mile for RNLI: Supporting a Lifeline in Our Community

Tuesday 18th Mar

As a fishmonger, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the sea and the hardworking people who make it their livelihood. That’s why I’m excited to be taking part in the Mayday Mile for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

For me, walking 5 miles a day is just part of the job. Between running deliveries, heading out to the fish market, and making sure my customers get the freshest seafood, I average about 5 miles a day on foot. So, when the RNLI announced the Mayday Mile challenge, I knew this was something I could do—and then some!

The Mayday Mile is a fantastic initiative that helps raise much-needed funds for the RNLI, which provides life-saving services on our coasts. Every step I take during this challenge will help support the brave lifeboat crews who risk their lives to keep us safe at sea.

As I take on this challenge, I’ll be walking not just for my love of the sea, but for the amazing men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting it. It’s a cause that’s close to my heart, and I hope you’ll consider supporting the RNLI in any way you can—whether that’s donating or simply spreading the word.

Stay tuned for updates as I make my way through the challenge. I’m looking forward to hitting that 5-mile mark every day and doing my part to help save lives at sea.

Thanks for your support, and let’s walk together for a great cause!
