I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

24 hours to go!!

Friday 30th May
Fastest run tonight and one more tomorrow makes it 31 🎉🎉🎉

3 more runs to go!!!

Wednesday 28th May
Only 3 more days!! £333 raised 🙌🏻 and the sun is out 🙏🏻xx

Only 4 days to go!!!

Tuesday 27th May
Thanks to the latest lovely sponsors I’ve managed to get through the last few days. Running in the rain seems a theme recently but hoping for a few sunny days to finish off. Looks as though I’ll hit the 31mile mark before 31 days but we will carry on until 31st mile is complete on Saturday. So 4 days for a bit more sponsorship……if you’re tempted and can spare a few £££ for the incredible lifeboats that would be fantastic. Huge thank you to all of you who have donated so far.

New legs needed….

Saturday 24th May
Now at Day 24 and it’s all a bit of a struggle as the knees don’t like running daily….however we are still doing it and new leggings make all the difference. Only 7 days to go although I’ve covered 27 miles already. Now £47 short of £300 which would be such a great target to hit. If you have a spare £5 for the lifeboats please donate it is really keeping me going. Thank you 🙏🏻

Nearly at 20!!

Monday 19th May
So the knees are broken but I’m now actually running so feels ok sometimes. Only 12 miles/days to go, does anyone fancy sponsoring a £1 a mile now….🙏🏻……£12….🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Seriously need the motivation but I’m doing it for all of you who have donated so far. THANK YOU XX

Fundraising 🥂🍾🥳

Tuesday 13th May
So grateful to you generous folk who’ve donated. Already have over £150 in the pot and we aren’t quite half way. All very exciting  Went away from home for the mile this evening….many circuits of the rugby pitch. Knees objecting a little but back seems to like just a flat mile. Day 14 tomorrow and it’s going to be sunny for a while.

Nearly half way…..

Monday 12th May
Thank you everyone for all of your generous sponsorship, it’s really keeping me going. Quite look forward to my daily outing now and being a bit more creative with my routes. Found a new love for night running, the moon is really beautiful at the moment. Only 5 miles until half way!! Bumble has yet to start, her bloods were a bit low this week so not up to running far for a bit.

May miles

Friday 28th Mar
May is my favourite month and what better time to run a mile a day. Bumble and I are both pledging to get out on our stumpy legs every day and we hope that seeing her cute daily hopping will persuade you to part with a little bit of money. If we get to the end we hope to make our final mile a beach one and you’ll get Bumbles first seaside experience as a bonus 😂
