I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?

My Updates

Challenge completed!

Friday 19th Apr
Have just jogged the last 3 miles taking me to 31.  Please share as I still need donations to reach the £250 goal.  Thank you so much.  I am sure any of you who have been on a beach with your children, or have seen Saving Lives At Sea, will agree that they do an amazing job.

2 more miles walked

Thursday 18th Apr
Lovely to walk around in sunshine instead of rain and spot the signs of spring.  Only 3 more miles to go, so please keep giving to the RNLI and thank-you.

Now reached 26 miles.

Wednesday 17th Apr
Just walked another 4 miles luckily before it rained!  Only 5 miles left. Please keep the donations coming and thank you.

3 more miles

Tuesday 16th Apr
Just jogged 3 more miles, taking it to 22 miles. Just 9 more miles, but still £80 short of my target, so thank you and please share to help the RNLI.

Another 4 miles, now taking me to 19 miles

Monday 15th Apr
Just done another 4 miles. Foxton, Lubenham. Thanks for the donations and keep them coming....

Another 6 miles

Sunday 14th Apr
Jogged 3 miles locally and walked 3 more in Sibbertoft. Now up to 15 miles nearly half way to the 31. Thank you for all the donations. Please share.

Nobold Deserted village-6 miles

Thursday 11th Apr
Lovely jaunt to the deserted village of Nobold along the road between Clipston to Sibbertoft.  It is also the possible site of a massacre on the flight path from the Battle of Naseby.  Photo isn't great, but it is definitely worth a visit as The Woodland Trust have also put up an information board.

Another 3 miles

Thursday 11th Apr
Just jogged another 3 miles taking me to 9 so far.  This time no deserted village or indeed anything historical, just the beautiful canal.
