Taking on the Reindeer Run Challenge for RNLI lifesavers
RNLI supporters around the country will be donning their antlers and strapping up their hooves to run 24 miles – all to help keep RNLI volunteers safe this winter.
Freezing seas, numbing winds and sub-zero temperatures – would you fancy launching into that aboard a lifeboat? RNLI crews will be doing just that, battling the elements this winter to continue their mission to save every one.
Reindeer Runners will be raising money so they have everything they need to answer the call for help. Because no matter how harsh the winter weather might be, lifeboat crews will always launch to the rescue. I’d be so grateful if you could sponsor me.

Nearly done!
Saturday 21st Dec Difficult run at the parkrun today with a strong wind blowing right in Daniel's face, but he begrudgingly managed it in roughly the same time as last weekends run. Daniel's only got 2 miles left to go now which he's planning on doing on Christmas Eve in town. Share
7th run finished
Thursday 19th DecDaniel completed his 7th run today, and despite the bitterly cold winds and a spot of rain, a few lovely people stopped him to put some donations in his bucket. Thanks to a very generous donation online, Daniel is just short of £700 so far! Can he make it to £1000? 19 miles done, just a few more runs to go!

6th run done!
Tuesday 17th Dec Back to running after school today, didn't have to run for as long as Daniel had made up some of the distance with longer runs last week. Bitterly cold winds to run in, but it didn't phase him and finished the run just before the rain starting pouring! Some generous chap stopped him and put £20 in the bucket, we'll open the bucket up at the end of the run to count up any cash donations. Share
Daniel's 5th run
Saturday 14th Dec Daniel did his first ever parkrun today, bit chilly and windy but he smashed it! He's done over half the distance now and raised over £400 so far! Share
Run number 4 done!
Thursday 12th Dec Run number 4 done, Daniel managed 4 miles today so he's on track to reach his target and doing well. Next run will be at the park run at Pembroke on Saturday! Share
Back at it again!
Tuesday 10th Dec Had to postpone Daniel's run at the weekend due to Storm Darragh so he had a bit of catching up to do today. Daniel did an extended 3.5 mile run up and down the seafront today in the cold, wind, and rain; we were going to look for somewhere more sheltered but he was determined to show that the RNLI will go out in any weather, so he will too! Thursday 5th Dec Run number two done, 4 miles down, 20 miles to go. Bit of a wet and windy one today so not many people along the way. Daniel has doubled his fundraising target and has raised £267 so far! Share

Tuesday 3rd Dec Daniel and Nanna have set off on their reindeer run, starting from the RNLI shop on the New Jetty, past the lifeboat, and along the town seafront. Listen out for Daniel on BBC Guernsey tomorrow at 08:20 to talk about his fundraising efforts for the RNLI, and he should be in the Guernsey Press too! Share
Daniel's Reindeer Run!
Wednesday 27th Nov Daniel is a passionate supporter of the RNLI and has volunteered his time several times throughout the year to help collect money at flag days and help sell RNLI goodies at the charity market stall at various events. For his efforts, he was even awarded a Blue Peter silver badge! Daniel is looking forward to going out running with his Nanna to raise more money for the RNLI in the Reindeer Run!
