I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers
This May I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge in memory of my Oma who passed away in January this year. As a keen charity fundraiser who held a deep love for the RNLI and a passion for walking, Marianne Cartwright was an inspirational figure in my life.
The things Oma taught me have influenced every part of my life, including my career choice, and I am genuinely so lucky to walk in the footsteps of such an excellent woman. She is missed hugely by all of us but I know that every day I am inspired by strength, intelligence and humour - a truely wonderful gift.
Her excellent talent and hard work were inspiring - to me and others - not that she necessarily knew it. I want to honour her unfaltering strength by walking over 2 miles a day to raise money for the RNLI.
During summertime, as many flock to the beaches and costal towns, the RNLI crews experience their busiest season. By sponsoring me and giving a gift today, you can make a real life saving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to continue saving lives at sea.
Together, we can help save every one.
