An RNLI fundraiser perfect for M.E.
Well, I never thought I'd be partaking in a physical fundraiser, given my disability but I'm so excited that there is one I know I can achieve. Not only that, one for a charity I am very passionate about!!
So throughout May I will be walking a mile a day to raise funds for the RNLI, a charity that is funded solely on donations.
You probably think a mile a day isn't a challenge, especially for those of you who regularly run and train for marathons, but for me, especially after COVID, it is a challenge. My M.E. means I have to pace myself every day, if I overdo it one day then I'll certainly pay for it in the following days. A mile a day is just enough for me.
You're probably asking why I am not doing this for an M.E. charity? Well I just love the RNLI and what they do, regular people giving up their own time to volunteer, and risk their own lives to save others.
After visiting many a lifeboat station they also are some of the most friendliest people, have such a great community and always welcome James and I (plus Odin) to their station and shops.
So, please if you can, I ask for your support in sponsorship, all the money raised goes direct to the RNLI to keep them doing the amazing work they do.
Thank you,
Emily.
