I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers
Hi, my name is Ethan and I’m 7 years old.
This May, I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). I will be walking or running a mile every day to help raise money to keep people safe at sea.
I have loved the RNLI since I was 4 years old. Whenever we are near the coast, I always want to visit a lifeboat station. I go with my Dad (and my Mum and sister too, even though they sometimes get dragged along!).
We collect RNLI pin badges from all the stations we visit and mark them off on our special tea towel. Me and my Dad are trying to visit as many stations as we can!
I have even stayed at the RNLI College and done a tour, and I am a member of the RNLI children’s club, Storm Force.
The RNLI is really important to me because they help keep people safe and save lives.
