I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?

Day 5

Thursday 9th May
After 9 weeks of training I completed my first ever triathlon with my sister Martha. I did a 300m swim (in a pool), 14k cycle (puncture the whole way 🫣) and finishing with a 3km looped run.. it wasnt the hardest thing in the world! But wasn’t the easiest either! I got a few miles in today and of course I’m counting them alll! 🏊🏻‍♂️🚴🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️ We then went to Dublin to watch the second half of an American Football game, had a BBQ and went out on the town until late…safe to say I was wrecked!

Day 3&4

Thursday 9th May
I didn’t take this on those days, but!; these are the work shoes in question…

Days 3&4

Thursday 9th May
I spent my Friday and Saturday working as a waitress food running with heavy trays 💅🏻 and I was on my feet all day (work shoes 100% on the way out) definitely got more than a mile covered from the time I clock in, to nine hours later when I clock out and go home to bed!

Day 2

Thursday 2nd May

Day 2

Thursday 2nd May
Lovely little walk after lunch with two old friends I havent seen in months! Havent walked down this side of the canal for a good while was a nice day for it!

Day 1

Wednesday 1st May

Day 1

Wednesday 1st May
No better day to start tackling a mile after mile than a recovery day!! But recovery was far from what Gunther (A STRONG German Pointer) had in mind..  We walked 1.27miles today, stopping briefly to munch on dandelions and find bumble bees to sniff! An unexpected strenuous walk but a good start for the month ahead. 😊 1/31✅
