I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.
Growing up on the south coast, I was always aware of the RNLI. We passed their HQ at Poole Quay on a very regular basis, and often saw the lifeboats heading off across Poole Harbour to rescue yet another group of 'grockles' who had got themselve into a muddle off of Old Harry Rocks. Anyone who's ever spent any time near water will know what a vital service the RNLI provides, and it's astonishing that 97% of their frontline lifesavers are volunteers and almost all of their funding comes from donations.
Between working from home and no longer having to go out on the school run twice a day I've been looking for an incentive to get moving a bit more, and the RNLI's Mayday Mile Challenge just seems to be the best kind of motivation. If I can raise a few pounds to support the work of their amazing, courageous crews whilst I'm at it then even better!
By answering this Mayday call and making whatever donation you can, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.
Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?
