I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

My Updates

Day 5!!!!!

Tuesday 6th May

Day 5 of the #MaydayMile — another London day, and this one was all about exploring!
Wandered through the city and spent time soaking up the energy in Chinatown. Lanterns, street food, and that classic London buzz. 🏙️🥡✨

Got my mile in just by roaming — the best kind of walking, really.
Feeling inspired, full, and a little footsore (worth it).

Day 4!!!!

Tuesday 6th May

Day 4 of the #MaydayMile and it was a busy one!
Started the day at a car show — chrome, engines, and sunshine. 🚗✨
Then off to London for a concert, and yes… I still squeezed in my mile somewhere in between it all! 👟🎶

Tired but happy. These daily miles are turning into little life highlights.

Day 3!!!

Tuesday 6th May

Day 3 of the #MaydayMile and today’s mile took me somewhere delicious — a local food festival right here in town! 🌮🍓👟

I strolled through the stalls, soaked up the atmosphere, and grabbed some food to go (because how could I not?). Good vibes, great smells, and another mile done!

Loving how this challenge is turning into little daily adventures. On to the next!

Day 2 by the Sea — and We Hit the Goal!

Friday 2nd May

Day 2 of the mayday mile and I took today’s walk by the beach — nothing like the sound of waves and a salty breeze to keep you moving! 🌊👟

Even better… I hit my fundraising target! Over £125 raised already — THANK YOU to everyone who’s donated and supported me so far. You’re amazing. 💖

Feeling motivated and grateful — let’s keep it going!

Kicking Off the Mayday Mile (a little late, but I made it!)

Thursday 1st May

Okay, I’ll be totally honest — I was shocked to realise today is the 1st of May. Like… how did that even happen? ⏳ Time is absolutely flying, and somehow it completely slipped past me. In fact, it wasn’t until 10:00 PM that it hit me — yep, today is May 1st! 😅

Not my most organised moment, but the good news? I still managed to squeeze in my mile just in time. I took a lovely brisk walk in the evening air, and it felt so good to get outside. There’s something about that fresh spring air that just resets everything. 🌿✨

If you're new here — hey! 👋 I’m Jade, and this is my little corner of the internet where I’ll be documenting my journey of completing a mile a day in May. 🗓️👟 Follow along for daily updates, mini reflections, and probably a few “oops I almost forgot” moments along the way.

Let’s do this! 💪🔥
