I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers
As a water based mammal with a seafaring father the RNLI is super important to me. This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea. I'll be swimming and walking it.
We are incredibly lucky in this country to have so many beautiful beaches that are looked after by brilliant RNLI volunteers, as well as the boat crews ready to take to the sea at a moments notice.
Summer is their busiest season and you can help save more lives by chucking a few pennies in the pot (I've put my money where my mouth is and started the pot off).
And don't think that not being a swimmer or sailor means you will never need their services.... Did you know that a HUGE proportion of RNLI rescues are of people who didn't even intend to get in the water??!!
