My Updates

We are getting there

Friday 30th May
Reports of a strange chap walking around the area, its me. People stopping me in the street to ask if I am ok, has Su kicked you out!!
Nope I am walking in aid of the RNLI.
Had to do a few longer ones recently as I fell behind the schedule, hopefully back on track now.
Say hello to our neighbours pooch who popped her head out to say hello and give me some encouragement.

An evening stroll.

Friday 23rd May
We closed the shop at 4, and while Su drove over to Accrington for an evening with the Ladies Business Network, I took the opportunity to take a stroll around the area.
The sun is still shining, and the countryside looking beautiful, if not a little thirsty. The weekends rain forecast will be welcome for some. Heading on the lane top towards the recreation ground, I carried on to Stunstead farm, through the farm yard onto Stunstead Road. At the junction I headed right and back up towards the recreation ground and towards Winewall. Down Winewall lane onto Skipton Road where I went left on for a while until Jeff's field, back up the hill onto Well Head, and  home in time for highlights of todays stage of the Giro.

Wycoller

Friday 23rd May
Crossroads to my final few weeks of the RNLI challenge.

Back from our holidays. The walking continues.

Wednesday 21st May
We hand a wonderful holiday, and feel much better from the walking for a great cause.
Back to the sun in the UK. Slightly different walking up the hills of East Lancashire, and bumping into people and having a chat. We have missed our customers, friends, and family.

Holiday walks

Saturday 10th May
Flew out for a few days away to the sun, but keeping up the walking, and enjoying some sun and relaxation.
Trying to reach a target of 155 miles by the end of the month, not quite on track due to travelling, but will make it up.
Leg holding up quite well!!!

Bronte Country

Sunday 4th May
This evenings walk into Wycoller was wonderful. How lucky are we to live in such a beautiful area.

Walk with friends after work

Saturday 3rd May
Walked to the shop this morning. Sunny but cooler than the previous few days.
Met up with some friends after we had closed and walked around the recreation ground at Trawden before making my way home and a few laps of Winewall. What a glorious evening.

Slow start

Friday 2nd May
Walk from work via Trawden and beyond. The swarms of green fly were unbelievable, attracted to the warm areas and trees.
