Tower Run 2025

RNLI Tower Run 2025

The RNLI Tower Run is London’s biggest stair climb challenge, with runners tackling over 1,400 steps whilst raising money to support the RNLI's lifesaving work in London and along the UK coastline.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Powered by kind donations, our search and rescue service has been saving lives around the UK for over 200 years.

Every pound and penny raised from the RNLI Tower Run will go towards equipping our volunteer lifeboat crews with the essential training, kit, boats and materials required to continue our lifesaving mission for years to come.

Eyeing up the challenge

Thursday 10th Jul
I thought I'd take the opportunity whilst in the office to actually have a look at the stairs I'd be running up. Sizing up the challenge if you will.

Stairs, ✅ Lots of ... ✅, massive numbers on the wall as a reminder of the floor you are on double ✅ ✅.

Someone once said "Every journey starts with a single step" I assume that whoever said this wasn't looking up at 58 floors of Europes 2nd highest building!!

Absolutely blown away ...

Never did I think me posting about this challenge would get the traction it got. So many people have donated and I am already close to my target which if I'm honest, was worrying if I'd even make half. I may have to adjust my target at this rate.

Whilst it's been amazing to get this amount of support already, it has bought home what I am going to be doing in around 3 months time. I think it's when people have questioned my sanity that I realize just how many steps it is up and that 1500 is alot!!

Random thought ... My ears pop in the lift on the way to floor 29 ... Therefore on that basis we should be getting in flight duty free at 58 no?

The only way is up?

Thursday 3rd Jul
Well this is it!! Running up 58 floors of the iconic 22b building! I think it took a week or so to sink in just how tall that building is! You'd think I would know that being my place of work ... But I don't need to go to the top so hadnt given it too much thought about what's above .. until now!!

But here we are, signed up, timeslot booked and countdown on (114 Days) but I'm not counting.

Wish me luck!
