I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?

My Updates

10 days in!

Saturday 11th May
10 days down, 21 to go!!

My calves have been screaming at me this week as I forced them up many hills, flights of stairs and copious amounts of aerobic movements.

I'm thrilled to have hit halfway on my goal to raising £250 so thank you to those who have donated so far.

Onwards and upwards, let's keep going!

6 down 25 to go!

Monday 6th May
So far there's been a mile in:

* high heels
*dressed up like a banana
*nature snail hunt (including squashed ones)
* activity trail
*climbing stairs (ouch!)
* aerobics

Day 1 complete!

Wednesday 1st May
Day 1 complete with 1 mile in 3 1/2 inch heels and a hilly pathway complete with a stroller, 2 children and a load of potholes. 30 miles to go!

Training continues ...

Saturday 13th Apr
Fluffed up, messed up, and quite frankly knackered ..... hard training tonight for my RNLI Mayday Mile with stairs, fast and furious aerobics and a mini rock session to Rock of Ages to cool down. All through May I'll be doing a mile a day (31 total) to raise money for the RNLI, dig deep and throw some change in the pot via the link in my bio 👍 #rnlimayday #rnli #rnlifundraising #training #charityfundraiser #charityfundraising #charity

Upping the training!

Sunday 7th Apr
A not so glamorous shot of me as I upped the training today, and my shins are not thanking me for it! 3 miles of exercise today... I may be waddling in the morning if the pain tonight is anything to go by. Dig deep and let's raise funds to help save more lives at sea.

Training trial and errors

Saturday 6th Apr
Tested out a Frozen space hopper. Seems I either need a bigger hopper or longer legs.

Saving More Lives

Thursday 28th Mar
A 200 year old organisation that has saved so many lives and continues to operate throughout the day and night without proper funding, the RNLI has always had a special place with me and here's my chance to help them get the money and equipment they need to save more lives.

Those who know me (and what I do) know how much passion I have for the maritime industry, so out of all the fundraising opportunities I've come across, it had to be this one.

I am not fit at all but here I go on a mission to raise awareness (and funds) for this life-saving organisation. Whether you can give £1 or £10 (or even £100!), every penny helps to get lifeboats launched and maintain the vitally important fleet.

Please donate what you can, and thank you for your support.
