Cuppa for the Crew

I’m hosting a Cuppa for the Crew to support RNLI lifesavers.

I’m popping on the kettle and hosting a Cuppa for the Crew, helping to save lives at sea by gathering friends together for a cup of tea.

RNLI volunteers around the UK and Ireland will drop everything the moment their pager goes off. I’m raising money to help make sure they’re always ready to race to the rescue.

Will you join me for a Cuppa for the Crew, to help selfless RNLI volunteers save lives?

Ag Bothántaíocht - Rambling to the neighbours

Wednesday 20th Aug
My new home has a long history of being a house of welcome, constructed back in 1890 by Mr James Wood and then run as a public house with a family residence adjacent. The number of people who trod through its doors for connection, meetings (political and social), refreshment, celebration of life, or to mark the end of a life, has been a legacy of hospitality, community and space to express oneself in a safe environment.

There is also the old stone building adjacent, which pre-dates the teach tabhairne and used to host dances, theatre and drama.   My hope on this occasion is that people will come and join in for a cuppa, share a story, song or tune. Reminisce about times spent in Gerrib Little aka O'Connors Bar, and dream of the future, of what might be, and how we might lift eachother up in the making of connections.
