I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?

26th mile of may!! Nearly there!!

Sunday 26th May
After being bugged to make a post, here I am..

Took a week off of posting as I’ve been super busy, but here’s my 26th mile of may!
I cannot believe how fast this month has flown by, we’re nearly in June already. This month has been super tough getting back into a routine of running, and getting my fitness back up again and I’m still here and kicking!

I can’t thank everyone of you enough for the support you’ve given me this month. It’s been such a breath of fresh air to have such lovely people supporting me. Thank you again!

So, here we go again you lovely people 😊

Every penny raised will help give the lifeboat volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue and save lives. Please help me to fundraise and make a lifesaving difference. So if any of my friends or work colleagues are ever fortunate enough to own their own boat, you may one day need their help, and my running to fund your rescue. Second week completed!!!!

Tuesday 14th May
2nd full week of RNLI is complete… Can you believe it??? No.. neither can I. You guys only have to endure a whole 2 more weeks of posts of my sweaty face and my same circuit everyday and then you’re done with me.. for now.. Holy cow is the asthma kicking my arse HARD after being ill, but nearly back in the game properly. The past 2 weeks have been such a massive mental break through for me and actually getting back into my fitness and enjoying it. The change it’s had on my mind and body is insane, but it’s been so worth it. I know I say this all the time but, I genuinely can’t thank every one of you enough, especially my work colleagues. It is sooo appreciated!! Soooo…. Every penny raised will help give the lifeboat volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue and save lives. Please help me to fundraise and make a lifesaving difference. I’m back…

Sunday 12th May

Soooo…

Sunday 12th May
So, as some of you may know I took of 1 mile a day in may for RNLI. However, after I completed my first week I unfortunately have been ill. However, Cameron Wilcox volunteered to step in for me whilst I felt sorry for myself at home 😂  But, thankfully today I managed to get out and complete the mile again for myself. I’m still not 100%, however I managed to run a small portion of the mile without feeling the need to be airlifted to the nearest A+E…

The following screenshots will show the miles obviously completed by Cam, and then the last 2 by me having walked them. I’m still raising money for RNLI and haven’t given up yet! I’m back in the game, and looking forward to getting back in the swing of things!!!

So, after some stern words from what the average person would class as punishment or torture, from the shortest scotsman that may exist and that I unfortunately call boss Nathan Dee..

I have decided to take on a challenge in May to support the RNLI lifeboats and crew during their busiest time of year especially due to them being such an under funded I'll be working on my fitness and running a mile a day in May.
