I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

🚶‍♀️Mayday Mile Update🚶‍♀️

Saturday 31st May

I’m so proud to share that I’ve now walked 66 miles for the RNLI Mayday Mile challenge! 🎉

My original target was 31 miles, which I reached by the 11th of May – so I decided to double it. This week, I went even further than that, all in support of the RNLI’s lifesaving work at sea.

This challenge has been incredibly personal for me. I’ve taken on these miles in loving memory of my Nan and Grandad, whose strength and kindness continue to inspire me every day. 💛

The RNLI does amazing work, powered by volunteers and funded entirely by public donations – they receive no government support. Every mile I walked was for them and for the people they help rescue.

Thank you to those that have donated, Your support means everything. There’s still time to help me make an even greater impact.

Let’s keep the momentum going and help the RNLI continue their mission to save lives at sea.

Thank you,

Laura

In loving memory

Monday 28th Apr

I'm walking the Mayday Mile for the RNLI in memory of my wonderful Nan and Grandad, who are now reunited.

Since my Nan passed just after Christmas, I’ve been looking for something to give me focus — a way to honour her memory and reflect on the love and strength both she and my Grandad gave me throughout my life.

Nan had a real soft spot for my boy Harley, so it feels only right that I’ll be walking the Mayday Mile with him by my side.

The RNLI is a cause close to our hearts. Their volunteers save lives at sea every single day, and they rely on the kindness and support of others to keep going.

This walk is my small way of giving something back while keeping Nan and Grandad close in my thoughts.

Every step I take is for them, and every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.

Thank you so much for your support.

What a wonderful thing to take part in, in your lovely Nan's memory. Carry the memory of her with you, every step of the way. She would be so proud of you. A great cause too. Best of luck with yours & Harley's walkies! Lots of love from me, Mike & the girls xxx
