I’m taking on the Mayday Mile challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile challenge and support the courageous crews?

My Updates

We have done it!

Saturday 25th May
On the launch day if float to live 2024, we get across the Mayday Mile finishing line with a 5 miler! I think she has earned a dose of "For the love of dogs".

Sea breezes

Saturday 18th May
Her other walking love ... The beach!

Flower power

Saturday 18th May
First time in Scarborough's Italian gardens for us both today. This one loves walking in flowers and having a good sniff 🤣

Country mile (or two)

Thursday 9th May
Took a different route round the rural side of the village today. Had to get a selfie with the oil seed rape behind us. Especially as it's RNLI yellow!

Sitting by the Spa in Scarborough

Saturday 4th May
Little 1.3 miler from the lifeboat station to the spa and back. She needed a break ... Saying hello to all the dogs has tired her out!

It's the weekend!

Friday 3rd May
1.74 round the village!

What is that!?!

Thursday 2nd May
She hasn't seen a tractor before! Especially one the same colour as a yellow welly! Wonder who was driving it 🤔

Team Molou Day 1.

Thursday 2nd May
My poor dog. I had to dash to Bridlington RNLI after work to support the launch of the 'Mayday Mayday! Resource launch. I was a little late home. But she was a trooper, behaved perfectly whilst I was out of the house. She HAD to be treated with her Mayday walk as soon as I got home.

The highlight of it was teaching her to wait a bit longer at a curb for a tractor to pass! (See photo 2).

What are we waiting for?

Thursday 2nd May
And we are off! Just a little 1.2mile wander round our village.
