I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers
This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.
During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.
By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.
Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

Final push!
Saturday 23rd May Approaching the last week of May and I'm on track for 100 miles! Though as was rightfully pointed out to me, 100 miles is not the same as 100 nautical miles, which is probably more fitting - so I'll be aiming to get another 15 miles on top for the end of the month to match the distance! Halfway there 💪
Thursday 14th May I've hit the 50 mile mark a day earlier than planned! Now just to do all the same again.. Share
The road ahead
Monday 11th May Another rest day today, doing some calculations; I've got 20 days and 61 miles left to hit the 100 for the month, which is about 3.05 miles per day (or 4.91km) - let's get it! Share
Raising the stakes
Wednesday 6th May A bit of a rest day yesterday but back on it today - since my initial goal of £150 has already been doubled (Incredible!), and I'm making much better pace than I thought I would, I've decided to take on 100 miles as my goal for May - watch this space! Share
Thank you (again)!
Saturday 2nd May Thank you to everyone that's donated so far and been incredibly generous! The RNLI is a fantastic charity that saves lives and your donations really make a huge difference and contribute directly to saving lives at sea! My original goal was to achieve £150 but thanks to your generosity, we've already surpassed that so I've upped my goal to £300 - Thank you again! Share
Thank you!
