I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

18 consecutive days at the gym!

Sunday 18th May
Doesn't seem long ago that I'd never have thought about going to the gym & now 18 consecutive days in a row!
For anyone new reading this each time I use the rowing machine I used it on the highest setting & make the time up to 10 mins so I always row more than 1 mile as that is 1609 meters. I take a photo each time as I'm curious to keep/show how I'm doing.

We've beaten the £200 target!

Saturday 17th May
Thank you all so much for your support, together we've raised over £200😆 💕

Day 10!

Saturday 10th May
Even though no longer with us (she made it to 100 & a half years old!) I'd like to dedicate today's mile to my Grandma who's birthday it would have been today 🥳

Day 4

Sunday 4th May
I rowed just over 2 miles on the rowing machine in 18 minutes today, quite pleased with that 😃

Day 3

Saturday 3rd May
Incase you're curious 1609 meters equals 1 mile, so l do a bit more to round up my time to 10 mins on the rowing machine. I did my mile as a warm up before my Bodycombat class this morning, hot work🥵🤣

Rowing day 1

Thursday 1st May
2426 meters = 1.5 miles today

A big thank you😃

Tuesday 29th Apr
I'm really looking for to my Mayday Mile 31 day challenge, 2 days to go! Thank you for you support & sponsorship, it's inspiring. 🤗

Almost hit the target already 😃

Sunday 27th Apr
Thank you all so much for donating, my target of £125 is almost there already! 😘

In memory of mum

Saturday 26th Apr
Hi all,
I've decided to do the May Day Mile for several reasons.
It's not much over a year since I/we lost mum & I thought it'd be a fitting tribute to a sea loving & at times faring wonderful woman.
The RNLI provide an incredible service, saving lives while risking their own, it really is quite something.
Thirdly I think a bit of a challenge will do me good! As many of you know I walk miles every day so I thought I must do something different, so I'm going to do my mile (maybe more) a day at the gym using either the rowing machine or cross trainer.
I'd love it if you can support me in this & help raise money for the RNLI.

Thank you to my Sponsors
