I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

My Updates

Finished!

Sunday 1st Jun
Hello folks,

Today is the 1st of June so my charity challenge for the RNLI is over! I had a lot of fun doing this challenge, even dealing with injury and daily life getting in the way but in total I completed 45 mi and raised a total of €148!

Thanks to all who donated, this honestly wasn't possible without you. I appreciate it a lot !

And if you didn't donate this time, please consider donating to the RNLI, they take donations all year round and it's a very worthy charity!

Until next year 🌊

Over halfway update!

Wednesday 21st May
Hello folks,I'm off to do my daily mile soon, but here's a quick update.

It's day 21, so we're well over halfway through the month. I've been consistently doing the mile a day for May so far and some days I go even further to rack up the mileage, in fact yesterday I hit the 31mi / 50km mark already. It's been a rewarding challenge from a personal and fitness perspective so far, and it's also a good feeling knowing that my efforts are raising awareness and funds for the RNLI.

I still have some funds to raise if I want to reach my €125 goal, but in any case I'll be happy to have raised any amount at all in the end. We still have 10 days to go so let's see how far we get!

Mayday Mile 2025

Thursday 1st May
Hi folks,

Thanks for visiting my donation page!

I love the ocean and anything maritime and I'm hoping to raise awareness about the RNLI and the work they do by running a mile (1.6km) every day in May. Although the RNLI volunteers operate all year round, as we're coming into the summer lifeboat crew and beach lifeguards will be at their busiest as more people flock to the water.

I really hope you consider donating to the RNLI and helping with all the great work they do. I've set my fundraising goal at €125 but I would love to raise as much as possible. Any amount helps and it all goes a long way.
