Thou shalt have a fishy on a little dishy

By Rachel Bradley

I’m fundraising for the RNLI to help power brave lifesavers to the rescue

Every day, around the coasts of the UK and Ireland, RNLI volunteers are kitting up to answer desperate calls for help. But they can’t launch to the rescue without support. The RNLI relies on donations to fund the kit and training volunteers need to save lives at sea and return safely home. I’m fundraising to help them stay ready to rescue.

Thankyou for all your support donations to date and well wishing so far so so appreciated. 🌊 😋 🐟

Unfortunately, this month I lost. 😅
With a dip of .4kg therefore, I shall be contributing £10 RNLI £10 to the Pantry so far. Hopefully, no more due to weight drop although of course obviously i shall be reviewing my general contribution more seriously at Christmas when we hope to celebrate with calorific rum 🏴‍☠️  🍺🍻🥃🏴‍☠️ and maybe some limes. 🍋  Oh and of course, fishes 🐟

Will keep you posted with a message in a bottle for October and hopeful plans for meal in November. 😋 🍽 🥗

Thankyou again!

RNLI condolences

Friday 2nd Oct
Firstly, heartfelt condolences to RNLI crew member, who tragically lost his life earlier this week-

💙🕊️ A SAD LOSS FOR THE EMERGENCY SERVICES FAMILY 🕊️💙

We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of a much-loved member of the RNLI Hastings Lifeboat Station crew following a medical incident at the lifeboat station on Wednesday evening, 30 September.

Emergency services, including South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAmb), Sussex Police and the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex, attended the incident. Hastings RNLI has since confirmed the heartbreaking loss and asked for privacy for the crew member’s family and friends.

Information being shared within the emergency services community suggests the individual may also have had a background in ambulance services, including experience as a Critical Care Paramedic with a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) and with a Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). These details have not been confirmed in the public statements available to us.

Whatever their professional journey, this is a heartbreaking loss for those who knew and loved them.

The emergency services family stretches across lifeboat stations, ambulance stations, air ambulances and control rooms. The people who dedicate their lives to helping others build bonds that go far beyond the uniform, and a loss like this will be felt deeply by colleagues and friends.

💙 Our thoughts are with their family, friends and everyone at Hastings RNLI, as well as all those across the emergency services who are grieving.

We respectfully echo Hastings RNLI’s request for privacy at this incredibly difficult time.

🕊️ Rest in peace. Our sincere condolences to all who knew and loved you.
