How your support helped the RNLI in 2024

437 Lives saved

25,327 People aided by lifeboat crews and lifeguards

9,141 Lifeboat launches

I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

Friday 20th Mar
This May, I’m taking on a simple but meaningful challenge: running one mile (or more) every single day to raise money for the RNLI.
At first glance, a mile might not sound like much. It’s not a marathon, not an ultrarun, not even a 5K. But that’s kind of the point. This challenge isn’t about pushing extreme limits — it’s about consistency, commitment, and showing up every day for a cause that truly matters.
For 31 days straight, rain or shine, busy days or quiet ones, I’ll be lacing up my running shoes and getting that mile done.
So why the RNLI?
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is an incredible charity that saves lives at sea. Their crews are made up largely of volunteers who drop everything at a moment’s notice to help people in danger — often in harsh, unpredictable conditions. They don’t get paid, and they rely heavily on donations to keep their lifesaving service running.
I’m inviting you to be part of this journey.
You can support in a few different ways:
Donate if you’re able — every contribution helps fund lifesaving missions
Share this challenge with others to spread awareness
Or even join in yourself and run, walk, or move a mile a day this May
I’ll be sharing updates along the way — the good runs, the tough ones, and everything in between.
By the end of the month, it won’t just be about the miles completed. It’ll be about the lives supported, the awareness raised, and the reminder that consistency, no matter how small, can make a difference.
Here’s to 31 miles, one day at a time.
