I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers
This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.
During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.
By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.
Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

My Updates

Days 17,18,19 & 20! 🏰⛱️🌅🐅
Wednesday 21st May
Days 15 & 16 - River loop
Friday 16th May We spent the whole of day fifteen playing in the paddling pool at granny and grandad's house and didn't manage to squeeze in an official mile, although grandad reckons Edward had run around the garden more than enough! Nevertheless, we decided we would walk twice the distance on Friday to make up for it.
Days 13 & 14 🫧🌅
Wednesday 14th May Yesterday's walk took us into town with Granny and to the pannier market, where Edward found a giant game of connect four.
Day 12 - Tree tunnel! ⛪🌳🌳
Monday 12th May Today's walk took us through the churchyard where we found a tree tunnel and loads of dandelion seed heads. Edward did well, despite being tired after nursery!
Days 10 & 11 - A trip to the theatre and an afternoon at the park 🎭🌳
Sunday 11th May
Day 8 - A trip to the museum and a coffee date in town 🏛️☕
Thursday 8th May A quick lunchtime stroll turned into a trip to the museum and a coffee date in town! Edward really enjoyed sitting in the VW camper at the museum and learning about local fishermen, as well as seeing the model railway in action for the first time.
Day 7 - Evening stroll to the fountain ⛲
Wednesday 7th May Edward enjoyed an evening walk with mummy, daddy and Iona. He especially enjoyed running laps of the fountain, which was looking lovely all lit up!
Day 6 - Sunny stroll with mummy and Io ☀️🍩🌷
Tuesday 6th May We had a sunny walk this morning, listening out for birdsong and picking flowers for pressing. Edward may have had a cheeky donut from Lidl! Share
Day 5 - Evening amble with Granny and Grandad
Monday 5th May Edward had a lovely walk around the park with Granny, Grandad and uncle Peter. He managed to get stuck half way up the rope pyramid in the playground and Grandad had to extricate him, but he had a fab time! A very sleepy boy this evening 😴 Share
Day 4 - Marwood Mile
Sunday 4th May
Day 3 - Walkies with Ralph 🐕🐾
Saturday 3rd May Edward enjoyed an evening walk with his furry cousin, Ralph, a handful of uncles, an aunt and Granny. He especially enjoyed holding Ralph's lead and chasing him around the park! Share
Day 2 - Tomatoes, fire engines and ice cream 🍅🚒🍦
Friday 2nd May We had a lovely walk today in the sunshine! We walked to the garden centre to pick up some tomato plants, then walked back via the park where we spotted a fire engine and Edward enjoyed a well deserved ice cream. Thank you everyone for the donations so far, they're really appreciated and for a great cause! Share
Day 1 complete! ✅
