I’m taking on the Mayday Mile Challenge to support RNLI volunteers

This May, I’m completing a mile-a-day challenge to help RNLI crews save lives at sea.

During summertime, more people flock to beaches and coastal towns to make the most of everything they have to offer – from glorious sunshine to adventurous watersports. And as temperatures rise, so do calls from people in trouble in the water.

By answering this Mayday call and giving a gift today, you can make a real, lifesaving difference. Your kindness will help give volunteers everything they need to launch to the rescue, and make sure they’re ready to face their busiest season.

Will you sponsor my RNLI Mayday Mile Challenge and support the courageous crews?

My Updates

Day 10 & 11 - My Stag Weekend!

Monday 12th May
My Stag weekend.
Even managed to get 2 outdoor 1 mile walks in between a few drinks and activities. A great weekend and I’m glad that I still went ahead and got those steps in!

Day 9

Monday 12th May
Tried to do a family walk today but toddlers be toddlering! Got 0.3 miles and he kicked off so we headed home.
Had to be another treadmill job today!

Day 8

Friday 9th May
Another family walk today, made harder by carrying all my son’s stuff. 🙄 Nice in the good weather though!
Just shy of 2 miles.

Day 7

Wednesday 7th May
It’s just a 1 mile treadmill from me today after a very long and tiring day.

Day 6

Wednesday 7th May
The first day my little boy has been able to go out after his surgery so a walk with him in the buggy was on the cards. 2.62 miles! ✅

Day 5

Tuesday 6th May
Another treadmill day today.
After a heavy day laying patio slabs and looking after my boy I was only up for the 1 mile today. But I did it and feel better for it.

Day 3 & 4

Sunday 4th May
It’s only a 1 mile treadmill each day on these days due to having to be at home looking after my little one after his surgery! And damn this treadmill is so small for my stride and my feet haha! It’s a challenge to simply fit on it!

Day 2

Saturday 3rd May
Day 2 was difficult as my little boy had to have some minor surgery in hospital. HOWEVER I managed to find the time to walk circuits around the hospital!

Day 1

Thursday 1st May
I’ve started the challenge by doing just over 1 mile at home on our treadmill.
I plan to venture out and go further and faster as the month goes on.
Thanks for your support.

This is me…

Monday 21st Apr
Hi everyone. Thank you for clicking my link and coming here!
I am lazy.
I am unfit.
I am unmotivated.
But I need to do something, and I want to help people where I can. So therefore, please help me raise some money for the RNLI while I get in AT LEAST a mile a day in May.
Thanks everyone.
Riley
